One of my first a mixed-media artwork created to illustrate the statistic that 320,000 people drown each year, accounting for 7% of all fatalities globally. This work practices working with textures, shades, and minimalism. The central figure depicts a freshly drowned corpse being dragged to the bottom of the ocean while departed spirits watch.
